Administration
Welcome to the City of Two Rivers Fire Department
The City of Two Rivers Fire Department (TRFD) is a proud and progressive combination fire department serving the citizens of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and surrounding communities. Our department traces its roots back to 1871, when it was first established as The Dexter Hook and Ladder Company. Transitioning to a full-time career department in 1919, TRFD continued its growth and professionalism by becoming an affiliate of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) in 1935 as Local 423.
Today, TRFD provides comprehensive emergency and non-emergency services including fire suppression, rescue operations, advanced water rescue, community outreach paramedicine and emergency medical services (EMS). Our paramedic-level EMS program also includes critical care inter-facility transports, paramedic intercepts for rural EMS services, and support for regional partners such as the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department S.O.S. Team and Manitowoc County Emergency Management.
TRFD operates from a single centrally located fire station, covering approximately 7 square miles and serving a population of 11,217 residents. The department also provides contracted primary paramedic services to the Village of Kellnersville, participates in Auto-Aid agreements with the City of Manitowoc Fire Rescue and the Town of Two Rivers Fire Department, and maintains mutual aid partnerships through MABAS Division 128.
