Public Hearing on Special Assessments for 17th Street Road Reconstruction

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE ROAD RECONSTRUCTION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Two Rivers has declared its intention to exercise its police power under Section 66.0703 Wisconsin Statutes to levy special assessments on properties fronting on the street hereinafter described for improvements conferred upon each property as follows:

FOR PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE ROAD RECONSTRUCTION, the work will include removal of the existing pavement, excavation, replacement of water main and services, replacement of portions of sanitary sewer main and services, storm sewer construction and replacement, installation of storm sewer services, grading and graveling, placement of Portland Cement Concrete, driveway approaches, repair or replacement of sidewalks and ramps, curb and gutter, top soil placement, seeding, restoration and miscellaneous related work.

17th STREET, FROM EAST PARK STREET TO JEFFERSON STREET & 17TH STREET, FROM EAST STREET TO ZLATNIK DRIVE

Proposed improvements to be assessed include a portion of the costs associated with constructing the pavement, carriage walks, and storm services. Costs associated with the sanitary and water utilities in the roadway are not assessed for this project.

The report of the City Engineer showing proposed plans and specifications, estimated costs of improvements and proposed assessments is on file in the Office of Public Works and Engineering, Two Rivers City Hall and may be inspected on any business day between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

You are further notified that the City Council will hear all persons interested, or their agents or attorneys, concerning any matters contained in the preliminary resolution authorizing such assessment, and the report, including proposed assessments for improvements starting at 6:00 PM on the 18th day of April 2022, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1717 East Park Street, Two Rivers, Wisconsin. All persons will be considered at said hearing and thereafter the amounts of the assessments will be finally determined by the City Council.
