New State Historic Marker to be designated

An aerial view of Two Rivers alongside Lake Michigan

An observance is scheduled for noon Saturday, June 12 as a new Wisconsin State Historic Marker is dedicated to the memory of those who served in World War I. Along with the marker dedication, the segment of State Highway 42 between Two Rivers and Manitowoc will be designated as “American Legion Memorial Drive.”

All are invited to attend the ceremony, which takes place at the Spirit of the Rivers wayside across from Aurora Medical Center.
