Kayak Series: Shipwreck Paddle

Sunday, June 28, 2026 - 8:00am to 11:30am

Paddlers in colorful kayaks.

Advanced paddlers can meet at the Nature Center for a paddle out to the Continental, a steam-powered freighter that ran aground in 1904 just off Rawley Point.

The Continental sits in variable depths of 0-15 feet of water, making it remarkably visible on calm days. This paddle is contingent on both weather and lake conditions. Paddlers launch from Rawley Point, which includes a trek down to the water with kayaks.

Paddle dates:

  • Sunday, June 28 | 8-11:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 1 | 8-11:30 a.m.

Fee is $10. Register online, visit the Parks and Recreation office, or call (920) 793-5592.
