Snowflakes & Snow Science

Master Naturalist Felicia Hennessy guides visitors through the science of snow formation, including how temperature, moisture and dust affect snowflakes.
Learn about William "Snowflake" Bentley, the first person to photograph a single snowflake. Some activities may take place outdoors; dress for the weather. The program is open to all ages and abilities.
Admission is free. Meet at the Propagation Center. Park in the main lot off Hwy. 42 and take the trail to the north, a 3 to 5-minute walk.
