Washington House Grand Reopening

The Washington House opens for the summer—and celebrates 176 years!
Fun for all ages, live music, and ICE CREAM—because Berners' Ice Cream Parlor inside the Washington House opens for the season, too. Sixteen flavors to choose from, plus floats and sundaes (like ruby and turtle!).
See what's changed in the museum since last season. Go on a scavenger hunt. Enjoy live music:
- Noon-2 p.m. Cheryl Bauer plays piano in the barroom on the first floor.
- 2-4 p.m. The Mystic Moods Orchestra performs music from polkas to waltzes for your enjoyment (and dancing!) upstairs in the ballroom.
- 4-6 p.m. Amy Potthoff entertains skillfully on accordion in the barroom.
Free admission. Hot tamales (AKA sloppy joes), chips and beverages available for purchase.
Following Saturday's event, the Washington House will be open 12-6 p.m. Thursdays-Mondays through Oct. 31.
