Originally from Brookline, Massachusetts, RV Jedeye (AKA David) has lived all over the US- from California to Washington DC, Florida to Tennessee to Wisconsin, and even overseas in Japan. He’s an avid RV traveler who shares his adventures on YouTubeInstagramFacebookTwitterReddit, and his own blog at RVjedeye.com. He recently made Two Rivers his first stop after the COVID-19 lockdown, and hopes to visit again soon! Check out his content for great camping and RVing tips, outdoor cooking ideas, and top road trip destinations.

TWO RIVERS, WI – I moved to Northeast Wisconsin at the end of 2019. I’d heard about the area for years, Green Bay in particular. And when I got here I was lucky enough to attend a traditional Packer’s football game.

I was so excited to start exploring the area and then, BOOM! COVID-19 hit and we were all in lockdown mode battling the pandemic.

Fast forward to 2021, and as things started to open up, I was so excited to get out in my RV and discover what makes the NE Wisconsin area so special… and another BOOM! My RV’s roof blew off on my first trip out.

RV in storage, waiting to get fixed in August because of the backlog of work due again to the pandemic, I wasn’t sure when I would be back to explore more of what lakeside Wisconsin had to offer… That is until I discovered “Car Camping.” It’s a great way to still get out and about and my very first trip was Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers.

An amazingly beautiful park and area, it’s easy to see why people love the location. As I broke in my Subaru Crosstrek for my first attempt at car camping, Point Beach State Forest was a great place to do it. While I was there, I got a chance to do some amazing hiking right along the shore of Lake Michigan.

During one of my hikes, I saw the Rawley Point Lighthouse, which was impressive. As I’ve mentioned in my blog over at RVJedeye.com, whenever I’m around water, I’m in love.

One of the things I now want to do is spend some more time exploring Two Rivers overall. Point Beach State Forest was a great introduction to the area and I see why folks are so proud of it. In the upcoming months, I hope to check out more of the area. Right now, my advice to folks… get out and explore!
