Rogers Street Fishing Village Set to Reopen Memorial Day

A view of Rogers Street Fishing Village with two red and white boats docked at a wooden dock next to a small red lighthouse.

The village opens at noon on May 31 for the summer season!

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

For more than 175 years, commercial fishermen have battled Lake Michigan to earn a living. Still today, fish tugs haul in the day’s catch. Rogers Street Fishing Village celebrates this rich history. Village and Great Lakes Coast Guard Museum exhibits include an 1886 historic lighthouse, shipwrecks and artifacts, and, of course, commercial fishing.
