Ice Age Trail Point Beach Full Moon Hike

Saturday, October 4, 2025 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Full moon in the night sky.

A guided hike provided by the Lakeshore Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance.

Hike 2.8 miles out and back to observe the full moon often called the Hunters Moon, and sometimes the Freezing Moon by Native American tribes. The trail is fairly flat and parallels Molash Creek part of the way. Also traverse a couple of trail reroutes caused by water intrusion over the past three years. And, of course, relish the breathtaking view of the exquisite orb over our inland sea!

Participants of the Mammoth Hike Challenge get "extra credit" for this Challenge hike #1. Find info on Challenge hike #2 at Henry Schuette Park in Manitowoc.

Meet at the parking area at Viceroy and County Road O (6866 Viceroy Rd.). Bring a flashlight.
