Exotic Pet Surrender Event (Kewaunee)

Local organizations will be on-site to accept fish, invertebrates, reptiles, pet birds, small mammals, and plants—no questions asked.
Some pet owners feel they have no alternative and may consider releasing their animals into the wild. However, doing so poses serious risks to both the animal and the environment. This event offers a responsible and ethical solution.
J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue (JRAAR) is hosting this event in partnership with Kewaunee Public Library and the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant/Water Resources Institutes.
