A Lunch & Learn event at Woodland Dunes: an hour of nature knowledge with a different topic and presenter each month. Bring your lunch; coffee, tea, water and a sweet treat are provided.

Motus is an organization of hundreds of sites throughout the world that record radio telemetry from birds and other animals fitted with small transmitters. Woodland Dunes operates two Motus stations which record birds passing through the preserve. Jacob Woulf, Motus coordinator for the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory, discusses equipment, transmitters, and Wisconsin's role in the tracking system. He also explains how to navigate the website to look at individualized tracks of birds, including some recorded at Woodland Dunes.
