CRAW holds second annual regatta at Two Rivers beach

Sailboats on Lake Michigan on an overcast day

It was an exciting and colorful weekend as sailboats launched from Neshotah Beach to race on Lake Michigan.

The Catamaran Racing Association of Wisconsin regatta featured 16 vessels. Sailors reported that wind was a bit slow on Saturday–and it was a little hot on Sunday!–but it made for a great event nonetheless for racers and spectators alike.

“We love spending the weekend out on Lake Michigan,” said CRAW’s Kate Schnurr. “(Two Rivers) is a beautiful location and the convenience of launching our boats right from the beach is always an added bonus.”

Chris Blake of Oconomowoc and Gary Chu of Racine made up the winning team. The two were on an F16 sailboat.
