Book to Art Club: A Man Called Ove
Meet to discuss this beloved story by Fredrik Backman and share art.
Ove is a solitary, rule-bound man, grieving the loss of his beloved wife and disapproving of the world around him. His attempts at solitude and even ending his life are repeatedly interrupted—most notably by lively new neighbors who crash into his life and mailbox. Through reluctant encounters and acts of unexpected kindness, Ove reconnects with his community and finds that love, duty, and friendship can draw him back into life.
About the club: Read a book and create art it inspires. Meet to share impressions of the book, show your art and describe your creative process. For adults 18+. Meetings are scheduled the fourth Saturday every other month.
April 25 selection: The Kitchen Front by Jennifer Ryan (historical fiction).
