Meet to discuss The Kitchen Front by Jennifer Ryan and share art.

In 1942 Britain, wartime rationing has made every meal a challenge, and the BBC’s new program The Kitchen Front aims to help households make the most of limited ingredients. To find a female co-host, the show launches a cooking competition that draws four very different women. Audrey, a war widow, hopes to secure her family’s future. Nell, a timid kitchen maid, dreams of independence. Lady Gwendoline, trapped in an unhappy marriage, seeks control over her life. Zelda, a professional chef, wants to prove her worth in a field dominated by men. As rivalries and alliances form, food becomes both survival and opportunity, revealing the resilience and ingenuity of women on the home front.
