Cool City Christmas

A magical experience to remember!

• A delightful (and FREE) opportunity in Central Park West: visit with Santa, his elves and reindeer from 1-5 p.m. (Harmann Studios offers photos!). Hear holiday music and sweet songs of Two Rivers High School carolers. Ice skate upon the new skating loop. If you don't have the necessary foot gear, Community First Credit Union is sponsoring free skate rentals from noon to 7 p.m. More info about ice skating.

• Stop at the Rotary tent and make an ornament to adorn the community Christmas tree or to take home.

• See K9 Xanti and his handler, Officer Andy Lade. The K9 program would not exist without support from community members, so Xanti is always excited to greet everyone!

• From noon-6 p.m., shop for gifts at the vendor fair inside the Community House. Find items including wooden signs, gift baskets, dog bandanas, gnomes, rugs, hats, pillows, jewelry, Christmas decor, natural skin care products, clothing, and custom woodworking. Food items, too, like honey, canned goods, and farm-fresh eggs. 

• For little elves: Bring your mini-DIYers to Santa's Workshop in the Community House's Behringer Room. Lowe's Red Vest experts will be on hand to help kids with a memorable holiday building project.

• Free face painting by Lori in the Community House's fireplace lobby.  

• Gift wrapping and concessions (hot dogs, chips and water) are offered by Two Rivers High School Future Business Leaders. Wrapping is free, but the organization would be delighted by your donations!

• City to City Candy Cane Hunt: From 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., visit parks in Two Rivers and Manitowoc and search for candy canes to earn chances at a prize! Find all details.

• Find further festivities at the historic Washington House from noon-6. Chat with Mrs. Claus and take photos. Write a letter to Santa and drop it in the special mailbox (include your mailing address so he can reply). The first 200 visitors get a free tote to use for shopping at Washington House and downtown. For $4, enjoy a warm pretzel with cheese sauce. Purchase soda or water for $1. Adults can purchase a cold brewski. A free scoop of ice cream for everyone while supplies last! The museum’s Grand Ballroom features live music: the Clipper City Chordsmen perform 2-3 p.m.; Robin and Rick Powell from 3:30-4:15 p.m.; and Don Konop and the Mystic Moods 5-6 p.m. Participate in a lively scavenger hunt, too. Admission to Washington House is free.
